Stephens and Westerlund

Dr. Westerlund partnered with Concierge Medicine of Columbus, Inc., Dr. Linda Moore, Dr. Ronald Hudson, Alicia Turner, PA in June, 2018. Together with Concierge Medicine Dr. Westerlund formed the Gynecology Department-Susan S. Westerlund, M.D., Gynecology, Women’s Health and Wellness. In 2019, Elite Family Medicine partnered with Concierge Medicine and Gynecology, Women’s Health and Wellness and formed one company with three departments. Dr. Westerlund expanded her practice to add Amanda Brown, NP in October 2020 and in January 2021, Richard E. Stephens, M.D. joined Gynecology, Women’s Health and Wellness and the company added a new location of 860 Brookstone Centre Parkway, Columbus, GA. Dr. Stephens and Dr. Westerlund are both located at the new location which is directly behind Concierge Medicine and Elite Family Medicine. In March 2021, the company welcomed John M. Jenkins, M.D. Board Certified Family Medicine physician located in the 850 Brookstone Centre with Dr. Kosobucki and Dr. Whitten. We are excited to offer both gynecology services with primary care services.

Susan S. Westerlund, M.D.

Susan S. Westerlund, M.D.

Susan S. Westerlund, M.D. is a Board Certified Gynecologist, born in Iowa and raised in North Dakota. Dr. Westerlund received her medical degree from the University of North Dakota and completed her medical internship and residency program at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Westerlund has been in private practice since 1997, before relocating with her husband to Columbus, GA in 2010. In 2018, Dr. Westerlund opened her very own private practice specializing gynecology, women’s health and sexual wellness. Dr. Westerlund introduced BioTe hormone replacement into her practice after years of researching and receiving training in 2019. Dr. Westerlund has received outstanding results from patients who have met the requirements for hormone replacement therapy.

Dr. Westerlund is truly loved for her personality and her true compassion for providing patients with quality healthcare. The medical practice provides women with a private and intimate environment focusing on only woman.

Dr. Westerlund is married with three sons, she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Richard E. Stephens, Jr. , M.D.

Richard E. Stephens, Jr. M.D.

Richard Stephens, Jr, M.D. is a Board Certified Gynecologist and a native from Columbus, GA attending St. Anne-Pacelli School. Dr. Stephens attended Presbyterian College in South Caroline where he obtained is Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2002, Dr. Stephens received his Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine located in Macon, GA.

In 2006, Dr. Stephens completed his Internship and residency program at the Carolinas Medical Center.

Dr. Stephens obtained his Board Certification from the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecology in 2006.

In 2007, Dr. Stephens returned to his home town of Columbus, GA and joined Obstetricians, Gynecology & Associates and in 2021 Dr. Stephens joined Dr. Susan S. Westerlund, M.D. Gynecology, Women’s Health and Wellness located at 860 Brookstone Centre Parkway Columbus, GA 31904 (706) 507-4243.

Dr. Stephens is actively seeing patients gynecology patients and performs gynecologic surgery.

Ms. Amber Brown, APRN, FNP-C is a native of Columbus, GA and attended Jordan High School. Amber obtained her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor in Business Administration from Columbus State University and obtained her Master of Nursing from Troy State University.
